What is a WIKI?
My preliminary exposure to Wiki pages was through IPRE, the Institute for Personal Robots in Education during the summer of 2008. The use of wikis was not as widespread at that time. In EDTC 600, I was exposed to the construction and use of a Wiki, learning its many applications in online teacher and learning.
In creating a wiki, I found resources to give me background on this tool such as What is a Wiki?, by Ward Cunningham, a computer programmer and developer of the original Wiki. Since this time, I have both initiated and collaborated in the contstruction of a variety of Wikis, including the examples on the right.
